Cathrine Raben Davidsen is a painter living in Copenhagen who's work is on display at the Martin Asbeck Gallery through November.

the expressions on the woman's faces give me a sense of sadness.... or a sense of longing....
maybe that just me being bummed that our Indian summer seems to have finally called it quits.

i came across and new book called Bird by photographer Andrew Zuckerman. its rad, dont get me wrong, however it reminded me of the above photos by Mark Laita (a print of the 2nd one down proudly displays in my apt)
although extremely different takes on photographing birds...... both worthy of an ogle.
