for some unexplained reason i am drawn to work that has monsters or animals or a combo of both..... these beautiful ink on paper drawings make me wanna go bust out my little sketch pad at work and say eff it...
someone told me recently, drawing is something you have to practice everyday. weirdly true for many things in life actually... these are from a daily journal by Crispy Copper aka Jon Macnair.

warning.....

Shitbeams on the Loose #2 comix mash-up edited by Rusty Jordan
as described: The celebrated anthology returns and in staying true to form, offers another collection of the best and the brightest players in the medium of comix. This second installment features a trenchant mix of slice-of-life storytelling in collusion with virulent abstract narratives and collage pieces. It is a wonder to behold!

why the long face?

Cathrine Raben Davidsen is a painter living in Copenhagen who's work is on display at the Martin Asbeck Gallery through November.

the expressions on the woman's faces give me a sense of sadness.... or a sense of longing....
maybe that just me being bummed that our Indian summer seems to have finally called it quits.
